Another "Forever Strong" still

Here's one more production still from Forever Strong. I saw it Sunday, and I absolutely loved it; I would recommend it to anyone, slight hokey-ness notwithstanding. I mean, how often do you go to a movie the credits of which include such titles as "Inflatable Crowd Wrangler"? (And do we EVEN want to know what sort of practical experience such a person would list on his/her resume?)

In all seriousness, though, I thought it was a fabulous picture, and Sean's performance is delightful. I'm more than half tempted to go see it again. I've been surprised and more than a little disappointed at how little promotion it has gotten; the local paper didn't even include it with their listing of "new this week" movies, and that's HIGHLY unusual. I have to wonder whether the promoters even submitted it for review.

The photo below might be an itty-bitty bit spoilery, especially if you're the type of person who avoids even preview trailers. Sean is pictured with his movie wife and daughter (who appear only briefly in the film), and I just LOVE seeing how good he is with this little girl. Children seem so at ease with him.

Lovely picture. You have to wonder about how Sean interacted with the little girl beforehand to gain her trust. He does appear to be so very good with children; you see it in the brief scenes he has with kids in Jeremiah and Click, for example, not to mention his real daughter in ROTK!

Ah yes, the Inflatable Crowd Wrangler. I saw that in the credits, and it does conjure up all sorts of images! But my interest piqued, I found this: http://inflatablecrowd.com/pics.html Amazing!!

Sean's performance is so warm and real. Too bad there doesn't seem to have been much promotion outside the LDS and rugby communities. :-(

The graduation scene made me laugh - they look so lifelike, LOL!
When he directed Rick to go look in his closet, I got this weird mental image of "OMG it's Billy Tepper at 40!" :D I especially love the humorous interactions between Marcus and his laid-back deputy. It's perfectly charming performance.

And how much do I love it that HE is the one holding the little girl here, and not her "mother"? Too delicious for words.

Re Ally in RotK: have you ever seen that interview where he's talking about when both kids had a total screaming meltdown, and he and the actress who plays Rosie (and whose own child was Baby!Frodo-lad) couldn't do anything much but look at each other and shrug as they tried to comfort their howling offspring? :D
I wonder if they didn't originally plan for the mother to hold her and Sean asked if he could. Sounds like something he'd do. :-)

I don't remember that interview. Poor parents! :-P

Indeed it is. :-) He will always be lovely, even when he's older than dirt.
Yes, this is a really cute pic. And it's always nice to see him interacting with kids - he seems to have a special relationship to them.
He really does. He can be so incredibly high-energy at times, but then he can just squat down to their eye level and instantly seem so calm and nonthreatening. Perhaps he remembers the actors who made *him* feel most at ease when he was a child on set.
Aww, that's gorgeous.
Who plays his wife, btw? She looks familiar. Was she in "House" a while back?
I'm not sure who the actress is. She has no spoken lines, so she may not even be credited. The credits roll by REALLY fast, so I was able to catch only a few of the names I didn't already know. IMDB is not helpful. :-)
